Adalian Jr. Head, Reference Department Library Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA 93407 (805) 756-5767 padalian@calpoly.edu SESSION DESCRIPTION Here's the information on Doug Davis. Let me kow if you need more info. ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Hi Arglenda, The talk can be entitled "Status of the CSU Unified Information Project" For a brief bio of me you can use the Following: Doug Davis has been University Librarian at Cal State Los Angeles since 1995. Prior to that he was Associate Dean of Libraries at Cal State Northridge. He served as staff for the CSU Libraries Strategic Plan entitled "Transforming CSU Libraries for the 21st Century". He was the Chair of the UIAS Review Group which determined the feasibility of UIAS during 1995-96, and chaired the Evaluation Team which was responsible for the RFP and BFO process that led to the selection of a recommended UIAS vendor. In 1997 he has served on the UIAS Management Team and UIAS Contract Negotiation Team. As for doing a panel, that probably depends on how much time you have for the program. For up to one hour, including a question and answer period of at least half the scheduled time, I feel a panel would be rushed. For a longer period a panel could work well. As well as Marion, you might want a three person panel with possible members including Bill Post, Rod Hersberger, Gordon Smith, and most importantly Marvin Pollard, the UIAS Project Manager. Either way, I'm happy to participate. Best Regards, Doug
